I created Saber Tooth Kitty 50 years ago in 1975, on the dirty back window of a friend’s 1968 Country Squire station wagon. A friend standing next to me said “Don’t change a thing.“
STK, as he is also known, has been drawn by my hand thousands of times over a half century. He has appeared on birthday and Christmas cards, small notes, bathroom walls and numerous posters of all kinds. Many of my friends still have their own copies, personally drawn by me. I decided when I turned 64 to get my first tattoo at the insistence of a much younger friend who sports many a tattoo herself. Of course it was STK. To my astonishment many strangers have approached me wanting to know where I got the tattoo. When I explained STK was my own creation the usual answer was where could they get stickers or other items with his noble visage? It’s taken much longer than originally anticipated but here we are at last. STK has many partners, such as the Black Cat Quartet, and if he is successful I will add them to the pile.
The Store section is for stickers, prints and the like. The Shop is for apparel. The Gallery is for photos.
